Missing Mulligan

'Luke leaving the band was probably one of the best things that ever happened to us although it didn't seem like that at the time.
We had just finished to tours of the States with the Police; the bed is too big without you and The Police’s ‎– Regratta De Blanc tours.
This had taken the best part of a year and a half. We had had a fantastic time touring the States coast-to-coast playing with bands like The Ramones, the B-52s, The Cramps, the Gang of Four, John Cale and Patty Smith.
And arriving back in England we were presented with a tax bill. And rather than shoulder his share Luke left and return to the States I presume with someone that had met on tour'  Century 21

It is not that Salvatore Mulligan doesn't like to talk about himself, it is only that he'd rather be talking about anything else. His current many projects, his best friend of many years, the one time he went to Italy and fell in love with the decidedly unique Italian sun. "I just think it's so dreadful to talk about the past!" He says while very focusedly trying to fish an olive from his martini. "When you said you wanted to meet for an interview, I was scared you'd want to talk about Fashiön." He smiles his shy smile and finally eats his olive. Somehow it feels less shy after that.
